Standing Water Damage Cleanup in an East Northport Basement

As seen in the Before Photo, there was a large number of articles stored in this East Northport. When heavy rains backed water up the drain, the result was over an inch of standing water. The property owner brought in SERVPRO to remove the boxes, furnishings and extract the water. There was significant wicking throughout the walls in the finished basement which ruined the sheetrock. SERVPRO techs try to save as much of the building materials as possible but in this case, the walls took on too much water to leave any part of them behind. The After Photo shows the extent of the controlled demo necessary in this basement. After drying, the basement was ready for the needed repairs to restore the area fully.
