SERVPRO Cleans Up Water Damage in Blue Point Basement

At first glance in the Before Photo, the only hint there might be water damage in this Blue Point finished basement is the plastic across the sofa in the background. Upon arrival, SERVPRO technicians scoped the rooms and determined the water’s migration path, and found that the glue-down carpet was saturated and required removal to dry the concrete slab flooring underneath. Fortunately for this homeowner, the water cleanup actions began quickly enough that even the baseboards could remain in place during the water mitigation. When property owners delay water cleanup, the moisture can ruin walls and furnishings. The After Photo shows that SERVPRO techs removed the carpet but could keep the furnishings in place during the extraction and drying process.
