Non-Stop Toilet Running Causes Water Damage in Bellport Basement
When a toilet malfunctioned and did not shut off after filling the tank, it continued running and overflowed into a Bellport basement causing water damage to the carpet. The technicians put safety first for all and know that the weight of wet carpet has the potential to cause injury even though it required removal to dry the slab substrate underneath. They extracted as much moisture as possible using their professional equipment and dried the carpet using air movers and dehumidifiers as shown in the Before Photo to make it easier to handle. The baseboards and carpet removal exposed the slab floor for drying and disinfection to ready the floor for the installation of new carpet in the basement.
