The Worst Water Damage in Nesconset Includes Sewage

A sewage pipe under a floating floor sprung a leak and caused extensive water damage to this Nesconset home. The techs removed the bamboo floorboards to expose the pipe under the floor for both water and waste extraction and repairs by the plumber contracted by the homeowner. SERVPRO technicians put up plastic barriers over the cabinets to protect them during the water loss mitigation and removed items from the living room area which also received the effects of the water loss. As seen in the After Photo, the baseboards remained in place and only the exposed substrate is showing. After disinfection and the application of an antimicrobial sealant to inhibit mold growth, the flooring can get reinstalled and the items returned to their previous places in the home.
